You are eligible if all these are true:
- Woman named as “head of family” on an APL, BPL or Antyodaya ration card.
- Aadhaar-linked bank account (can be updated during registration).
- Neither you nor your spouse files income-tax or GST.
- Not a regular (state/central/PSU) government employee.
Myth: “Only BPL women qualify.”
Fact: APL ration-card holders are included; tax/GST status is the real limiter.
If your ration card was recently updated (name change, new head of family) expect a one-month cooldown before Seva Sindhu accepts your application.

How to register in 2025
Option 1 — Seva Sindhu portal (desk or mobile)
- Go to sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in → “Guarantee Schemes” → Gruha Lakshmi.
- Log in with Aadhaar OTP.
- Upload PDF/JPEG of ration card & bank passbook if the account isn’t Aadhaar-linked.
- Submit and download the Manjurathi Patra (approval slip). Keep the “GL-ID”—you’ll need it for status checks.
Option 2 — WhatsApp chatbot (fastest for rural users)
- Save 8147500500.
- Send “GL <your ration-card number>” (no spaces in RC).
- The bot returns an application link; follow prompts and e-sign in less than five minutes. Over 7 lakh applications were filed this way in the first fortnight.
Option 3 — Karnataka-One / Grama-One centre
Carry original Aadhaar (yours & husband’s), ration card and a passbook if you prefer a non-Aadhaar bank account.
